However, fans of the series will not want to miss this long awaited novella.

We needed more time with them because their story deserved more time. The plot of Noah’s capture was short, but did provide an escalation for the new nemesis.Īlthough we liked the overall plot and journey of Nix and Noah, the execution of it fell short. It felt rushed and we just wanted more for Noah. There needed to be more time for Noah and Nix to work out the issues they had. Nix needed more time for his self-reflective journey. Their relationship needed more time to evolve. There were some obvious “skips” where the back-story or another scene was glossed over. Although this is a common feeling with novellas, we thought that Nix and Noah’s journey warranted a full novel. We thought that Phoenix Reborn was too short. When that danger finds Noah only Nix can save him – the question remains, will he embrace his mate or lose him. In the previous novel, Chase the Darkness, it was foreshadowed that Noah would be in danger. This has been something we have been waiting to find out more about. In the previous novels Nix has adamantly maintained that he is straight and was horrified that his mate is a man. Upon his rescue some books back, Nix met his mate Noah, the Alpha Pack nurse. Nix has been recovering from being captured and tortured by enemies. We’ve enjoyed Noah’s character and have been eagerly waiting for him to finally be claimed by his mate.

Gikany and Una have been looking forward to Noah and Nix’s novel.
